Dr. Sanjay D. Sawant has 18 years of experience in disease management through chemical and biological control methods with emphasis on fungicide use efficiency, better application methods and pesticide residues in relation to disease control.

Seminar / conference 

Dr. S.D. Sawant participated in following meetings, seminars and conferences. He is actively involved in the transfer of technology.

  1. Attended the XI Zonal Meeting of Indian Phytopathology held at Vasantdada Sugar Institute, Pune on 7th & 8th January 1999.
  2. Presented the paper on ‘Forecasting of Diseases: Means for Effective Control of Diseases under Unprecedented Weather Conditions’ in the ‘National Dialogue on Sustaining the Productivity of Grapes under Adverse Situations’ held on June 7-8, 1999 at Pune.
  3. Participated and delivered lectures on ‘Disease Management in Grapes’ in seminars organized at the occasion of annual meetings of Maharashtra Grape Growers Association in Pune, every year since 1997.
