Membership :

The membership of society is open to any individual interested in advancement of viticulture and enology sector. Any corporate group who involved in research and development in various sectors of viticulture and enology is eligible to become corporate member of the society.

Conditions of membership

Any major citizen of India who is interested in the objectives of the society  and has given an application in writing in prescribed format for membership may be eligible to become member of the society on his/her paying the requisite subscription.

Who has accepted in writing to abide by the Rules and Regulations of this SOCIETY.

Whose name has been approved and finalized by the EXECUTIV Committee and thereafter by the president only.

The SOCIETY reserves the right to make / enroll new members, and Membership application can be rejected by the EXECUTIV Committee thereafter by the president without assigning any reason whatsoever.

Types of Membership

The society shall of the following categories of members with qualifying criteria as indicated against each

1. ORDINARY MEMBERS (Annual membership) : This membership shall be offer to any individuals interested in advancement of viticulture and enology sector. There shall be an annual fee of 500/- for this type membership.

2. LIFE MEMBERSHIP : Any individual interested in advancement of viticulture and enology sector and pays one time membership fee of 3000/- for Indians and USD 500 for others and shall be eligible for life membership of society.

3. CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP : Any corporate group who involved in research and development in various sectors of viticulture and enology and pays one time membership fee of 10000/- or as may be prescribed by Executive Committee from time to time shall be eligible for corporate membership of society.

4. PATRON : Eminent researcher or institution making a payment of a substantial amount (as may be prescribed by Executive Committee from time to time) The rate of membership/subscription fees for the different categories of members and their mode of payment shall be reviewed and determined Executive Committee from time to time. The ordinary/ annual membership shall be for 12 months from date of actual payment received.

5. RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF MEMBERS : The rights and privileges of categories of members will be as follow :

a. Ordinary members will be entitled to receive electronic copy of all publication for the year their membership

b. Life members will be eligible

 For being nominated as fellow of the society based on their contribution for the society and/or in the area of viticulture and enology. To receive the invitation to all scientist events/wine advancement activities organized by the society. To receive electronic copies of the publications.

c. Corporate members will be eligible to all the rights of life members and such other rights as may be decided by the Executive Committee based on the nature of their contribution and support of the societies activities.

d. Patrons will be eligible  to all the rights of life members and such other rights as may be decided by the  Executive Committee based on the nature of their contribution and support of the societies activities.

6. CESSATION OF MEMBERSHIP :

a. A member  may withdraw from the society by indicating in writing desire to do so, however, the society shall not return any fee or subscription that the member may have paid.

b. If any member of the society will fully disobey the rules or orders of the authorities of the society or commits wilful which of orders or rules anything, on the basis  against interest of the society, his/ her name shall be removed, on the basis recommendations of the disciplinary committee constitute by the Executive Committee. Such decision can however be reviewed on appeal by the Executive Committee.

c. If any member is adjusted by any court of law to be criminal offender, the Executive Committee may terminate his membership.
